Ajang penghargaan Korean Music Awards 2012 sukses dihelat Rabu, 29 Februari, di AX Korea, Seoul. Acara ini memberi penghargaan kepada para musisi atas prestasi musik mereka di tahun 2011.
IU menyabet total tiga penghargaan yaitu di kategori Lagu Terbaik Tahun Ini ("Good Day"), Lagu Pop Terbaik ("Good Day") dan Artis Wanita Terfavorit Pilihan Netter. Selain IU, hari itu Infinite juga berhasil membawa pulang gelar Grup Terfavorit Pilihan Netter.
Para pemenang Korean Music Awards ditentukan dari penilaian para juri seperti kritikus musik, Program Director radio musik dan profesional musik lainnya. Walau ajang ini kurang populer di kalangan remaja Korea Selatan karena pemenangnya mencakup penyanyi dari berbagai lintas genre, tapi Korean Music Awards tetap setia dinanti para penggemarnya.
